Grow Naturally Luscious Lashes

If you’re someone who has always wanted thicker, fuller lashes, the answer is finally here! Latisse is a prescribed, FDA approved medical product that helps people safely develop full-bodied eyelashes. Latisse remains a preferred eyelash stimulant for people of all ages looking for a cosmetic solution.

Our Latisse consultations may qualify you for treatment and get you on your way to rich, dark lashes.

How Does Latisse Work?

Hypotrichosis is a condition that prevents hair from growing on the head, brow, or eyelids. Latisse is a medication containing the ingredient bimatoprost, which can increase hair growth on the eyelid. Originally developed as a glaucoma medication, bimatoprost was then used to increase lash growth and counteract hypotrichosis.

Latisse is applied topically to the upper eyelid to promote the growth of thick, long lashes.

Latisse Application Process

Once our eye doctors determine you are eligible for Latisse treatment, it’s important to follow recommended applications for positive results. Use the following guidelines for the most effective way to get results from Latisse:

Prep Your Eyelids

Before using Latisse, make sure that your makeup and contact lenses are removed and your face is clean. Apply other facial products before using Latisse.

While holding the applicator horizontally, place 1 drop of the Latisse solution near, but not on, the tip. Now draw the applicator across the upper eyelids where your eyelashes begin. Go from the inside to the outside of your eye. Be careful not to place the solution in your eye or on the bottom eyelid—this can lead to unwanted hair growth.

Make sure to blot any excess solution left on the eyelid with a tissue, again being careful that no Latisse product enters the eye. Dispose of the applicator.

You must use Latisse every day to maintain results. If you stop using the product consistently, you can expect eyelashes to return to their prior appearance. Most people use Latisse for several weeks before experiencing results.

There are some side effects of using bimatoprost that may occur. These include:

  • Itchy, red, dry eyes
  • Darkened eyelids
  • Darkening of the iris
  • Hair growth around the eyes when Latisse has been exposed to other skin areas
